A friend in Aberdeen has just returned his..told me because it wasn't quick enough he's only gone and placed an order for the uprated V10 twin turbo version, 5.2 litre 530 bhp. Basically he wanted a performance setup and one of the fields is more rear toe..... All done then 15min later he came back because the rear was fish tailing "off throttle" Looking outside of the box, the car is rear steer and it has low profile Avon ZZ something with super stiff sidewalls, it appeared that the extra toe was laterally turning the rear because of the walls. Really? All the reviews rate the R8 quite highly........... I'm still waiting for the new wim-web to be launched, let alone a web-cam..... As for the R8 it's steering is way to light for my liking, it tramlines like mad and that poxy gearbox knocks out of drive if you stop for more than 5sec, althougth that's not a handling issue it is annoying. There two metres long so other than the proper Drifty's we don't have problems....... I was going to have the ramp sunk but the 8k best quote put me off.
