To be honest i'm not sure what they was trying to prove? To the best of my knowledge most trucks can reverse...... But his nad's were at risk regardless 

 

It says on the ad, it was to show the steerings precision and stability.

The Dynamic Steering thing is clever.

 

The guy who was with us over the weekend (From the company who do Volvo UK's stands) was telling us how it works - apparently it tracks the sides of the truck - probably with lasers (who doesn't love lasers?) - and autocorrects the steering by minute amounts to keep the trailer straight when the wheel is centered. Of course if you turn the wheel it'll turn as normal.

 

Clever!

I didn't look at the lines the first time, that is awesome. How many of you have seen a HGV go in reverse like that without the trailer weaving, I guess that's why they did it backwards to show how stable it is :) Bet it's not cheap though!
