Steve-O
faaack! Thats a hardcore item though - spaceframe and diffusers/wings! What about a bike engined caterham or even a mini? Seriously rapid kit, sequential box amazing sound and might be vaguely road legal
Tony
It's mad isn't it
parthiban
That is truly awesome! Reminds me of that smart car with is it twin hayabusa engines? A caterham seems an interesting idea as a play thing, but could Tony fit in one comfortably?

Steve-O
really? You can get widebody ones? should be better for those with longer legs/more sturdy backsides (me included)

phipck
Have you looked at RAW engineering in Hereford? theyve been tweeking their range over the last couple of years and are always interested in new ideas... hard covered Raw Striker? or Fulcrum? would love a hard cover Fulcrum
Tony
Fulcrum, what's that
phipck
its an adaptation of the striker with a full body, in person they look really quite good! personally i prefer the striker to the caterham, plus the last time i was at RAW i managed to slip into the striker and im 6'2" . seeing as the chassis are the same i would be able to get in a fulcrum as well..... with the additional possablitiy of creating the first closed cabin fulcrum
Tony
It's got a hint of S2000 about it but agreed it does look nice.

phipck
the fulcrum is one of the rare home build/production cars that has actually been through a wind tunnel too, so its not just an asthetic design, its been considered. Then you have all the striker underpinnings and adaptability which from what i hear around here is very good. But then with the company being just down the road i dont know if thats favoritism or people being better informed!

Bazza
Tony you need to narrow the choice down 2 or 4 doors boot or no boot reliable or reliably needs lots of working on practical or no roof/doors expensive or bloody expensive to run unique or standard daily use or weekend use or summer days above 75 degrees days and most of how much you want to spend
Tony
This is it i just don't know other than about 10k to spend and it doesn't need to be a daily drive.
Steve-O
ok so not a daily drive means it can be a 2 seater and not have a roof necessarily. Question is - do you want outright performance or bit of style/occasion?
Tony
A sleeper would be nice, rather than looks.
Steve-O
I know this might be a bit random but this is an ultimate sleeper and could be a daily as well - could probably chip/supercharge but these are rapid sleepers out of the box. http://classifieds.p...n-5-seat/619005 Just a curve ball there...
