New Wheeler Dealers did a Nissan Skyline last night. They bought a tidy motor put on a bigger intercooler and naff spoiler then set it up for drifting. Sold it for £4500. Maybe a model to think of Tony a good four seater too with plenty of room and you could practice your skills on it.

the v6 mk2 conversion uses either a 3ltr camry engine. Masses of torque and enough power, which makes it both manageable and more exciting than the 2ltr lump. Then supercharge it and it becomes quite a bit more interesting!

or the 2gr-FE which can be found in the lexus IS350, and is used in the Lotus Evora. Its a bit more meaty and as i love the mr2's characteristics (each to their own) this is the conversion i would love :D

I do like those Lexus's. Were they based off anything or were they built in-house by Lexus?

One of the long serving Toyota Engineers, Yukihiko Yaguchi, had worked on the first and second gen Lexus LS saloons, the turbocharged Toyota Supra and the first Lexus GS saloon, but he had for years wanted to build a hard core sport saloon to rival the likes of the BMW M3 and Audi RS4.

Allegedly he got tired of waiting, and recruited his own "skunk works" team who worked in their spare time between regular assignments to develop such a car. Lexus took it on and developed a V8 engine with help from Yamaha's Formula One racing development team . The bodywork of the saloon is very similar, and shares some parts, with the second generation IS, but suspension, transmission, seating, exhaust and braking systems are stand-alone. The prototypes were tested at the Nurburgring, Paul Ricard, Zolder and Laguna Seca circuits, but Fuji Speedway in Japan is the IS F's home circuit and why it's called the "F".

It's electronically limited to 170 mph but can break 200 mph without it. 0-60 time is officially 4.2 seconds.
