The joy of Geometry

Two gorgeous cars there, absolutely love the cobra, can't imagine what it's like to live with and maintain, but a stunning car.........remember the first time I saw a Zagato on the road, thought someone had made a right mess of a DB7 until I looked it up and found out it was a real car!

Don't think the rear is awful if it was on a different car (Marcos maybe?) but the DB7 is such a good looking car (one of my favourites) that it was a shame to see one looking like that :)

Personally i didn't like the car 400k or not.... Maybe it's because it was an arse to calibrate or maybe it was the constant dripping of oil on my head :D

The oil on the head just means it likes you :angry2:

That AC Cobra was beautiful.

A kiss from Kuwait...... That Cobra has another story to it.... It was a also having five tyres fitted and due the the wheels configuration we asked the owner to unlock the centre nut just in case the wheel gets damaged.... He understood this perfectly and went about hitting the centre nut with a mallet..... After half an hour and much hitting it looked like there was problems so we retracted to the reception so not to embarrass the owner.... then we heard bang, bang, bang, donk!! then another "donk"..... Yep he hit the rim with the mallet... twice :D

That Ferrari is gorgeous, horrible wheels (weren't those older ones on wire wheels?) but absolutely stunning car :)

Bad luck for the cobra, did he do much damage to the wheel?

It will need to be machined , so yeah bad enough.

That Ferrari looks stunning for a 40 year old motor

With the cobra, didn't he use a rubber mallet? And shouldn't you have removed the centre nut, that's what you pay insurance for isn't it? :)

Dead weight copper hammer is the correct tool. As for the removal, i wasn't prepared to invite damaging the car, the wheel off-set and location of the nut was asking for problems, the owner accepted this and decided to remove them himself....... It was a "told you so moment" :(

This one had an unusual conversion at the rear wishbones

post-2-1251565343.jpg

The conversion allows camber adjustment

And Toe adjustment

And for once these one-off adjusters worked very well.
