Rich
Sometimes we get some funny or really crap photos sent to us at work. When you consider these are suppose to be advertising properties for sale/the estate agents service you'd think they would make the effort to take good photos. Just been sent this one, which they have taken from the drivers seat so you can see parts of the car and there is a car directly in front, which distracts from the house itself!! Rich
It does make you laugh, some people have no clue at all. Some estate agents actually employ a photographer or train the stuff so they can take better looking photos. You would also not believe how many camera phone photos we get as well, which are no good for newspaper printing!
parthiban
That is brilliant, can't believe that you'd have to "teach" someone in order to get a better result than that...........

GamithUK
I had a job at an estate agents (for a day) where I was supposed to be setting up a computer system for them, but they also (since the only way they could afford me' was to get me doing other jobs!) wanted me to go out and take photos of properties. They were talking to me as though I was a 6-year old 'now make sure that you always put it back in this place', 'always make sure the batteries are ok' etc. Which is why I didn't go back the next day. ttfn

Rich
Another one for you but it's the size this time. Someone supplied this photo which is 1.5cm x 2cm to fill a space of 6.5cm x 4.5cm!! It is very low quality in resolution and size. I wonder sometimes if these people actually think about what they're sending us! This is what they supplied: If I used it in the space provided it would look like this, really crap isn't it, would that impress you:

Rich
Yeah it could be but the property is for let so might be the owners if they're a property tycoon!
parthiban
Considering the photos sent in by the other guys it's no surprise this agent is successful!
Rich
Here's another one - lets hide behind the rose bush while we take the photo!!
JamesV70R
Its meant to be "artistic"! At least they didn't just Instragram filter the photo before sending it in! James
Rich
I am struggling to find where they focused as well cos the whole photo looks out of focus! It could possibly be the leaf behind the rose?
JamesV70R
Looks like the little leaf point towards the top-left, just under the head of the rose. Was it a smartphone picture too by any chance?
Rich
You could be right, well spotted. I don't know what camera was used, the info is missing on the file but it wouldn't surprise me, I get alot like that.
Tony
Maybe it's the rose that's for sale
Rick101
Got mine up for sale at the moment. Currently doing the agent ring round. I didn't bother ringing the agents that have 'arty' 'trendy' or 'humorous' shots. Give me traditional any day of the week.
JamesV70R
Agreed. If I ever manage to afford a property I'll be looking for something thats not all photographed artistically. You don't know whats being hidden in a sepia image, or in a photo of a rose thats more in focus than the room its in ...

I didn't bother ringing the agents that have 'arty' 'trendy' or 'humorous' shots. Give me traditional any day of the week. Some estate agents actually employ a photographer or contract the work out and they produce excellent images that we can use. One name that springs to mind is Savills but then most of their properties are worth several million so you expect them to look good! I worked on an advert earlier and they supplied word documents with the images just cut and pasted into it. When I separate the photo it looks crap, some are so bad I would rather they didn't show a photo at all but it's not down to me. I would be livid if that was my house I was trying to sell and that's how they portrayed it. Here's one I received earlier!
JamesV70R
Is that a shopping trolley under the left hand side of the window?
Rich
Could be. That's the actual photo I received (size and quality) so it's difficult to make it out!

Tony
People selling the house are paying for this service. I would drop the agents like a stone if this was my house on view.
