Let someone else do them? :)

I'm sure it will be fine mate, you have the boss :)

1.5k job so i'm keen to fit the tyres. We've been on to Hoffman and asked if the pressure on the locking system is to high, tomorrow we should get an answer.

Do it like this without touching the wheels.

Nah it's the pressure needed to remove and fit them that worries me.

Even though it won't touch the rim?

The tyres are a 30 profile so very tight, i'm concerned how this tension will act on the rim as the tyre is pulled off.

No idea.... When it comes to race everything's very hidden, we just need to be sure we can fit the tyres without destroying the rims.

They're not split rims are they?

h

No, one piece rims...... Hoffman have said there's a special adapter needed for these wheels but they couldn't explain what the adapter does  So we are now onto the wheel manufacturer for guidance.

  • 4 weeks later...
We contacted the wheel manufacturer and they told us to treat the wheels like any other alloy....... so we did

How many pairs of underpants did you go through whilst doing them :)

None, I bet someone else did them!
