Tony
Within the structure of the tyre an impact can do all manner of things hence the need to remove this from the equation. Do you know you can change that format to a column style?..... it's much easier to read.

CIH
Is there much pratical difference between coilovers or a fixed drop with additional camber/caastor adjustment kits ? Is there much pratical difference between coilovers or a fixed drop with additional camber/caastor adjustment kits ? It depends on the owners intentions? Brought it here so as not to hijack the other thread. My intentions are fast-road (possible occasional track) but either way it's more because I want to experiment. Mainly with "building in" adjustment and aftermarket modifications generally. tbh I'm thinking coilovers may be overkill.

CIH
Can they be adjusted "on the fly" ? Like, say, adjustable top mounts or eccentric bolts ? Where do you get them btw ?
Tony
Yep, just loosen the lock nut and turn the bolt for live adjustment.... Demon tweeks are a good outlet.

CIH
What does WIM make of these ? Ebay S12 Coilovers Doesn't appear to offer any castor adjustment ?
Tony
What does WIM make of these ? Ebay S12 Coilovers Doesn't appear to offer any castor adjustment ? They look good with all the ingredients, i think you will find cheaper out there though..... As for the castor that will need an adjustable lower tie-rod. CIH
'Think I'll get some EZ bolts for the front so I can have a quick play with some front camber (stage 1, if you will). Any ideas why I couldn't get any movement from the NSR eccentric (toe) ? Think I may have a bent trailing arm ?
Tony
Is the cam actually moving the arm?
CIH
hardly a minute of adjustment either way, across the whole diameter of the cam lobe
Tony
hardly a minute of adjustment either way, across the whole diameter of the cam lobe Isn't the lob an external "D" cam?
CIH
IIRC yes. Incidentally, OEM rear spoiler (to go with the "six pack" tail lights) and an FJ bonnet are on the want list. Both are made by an S12OC member in fibreglass. Much better than the foam stuff used by Nissan.
Tony
Doesn't make sense?...... If you can see the cam move then the wheel must move..... could it be seized in the bushing?
