Geoffers
Make it happen - that's nothing to a man of your calibre. You can get the tiles from B&Q, saw similar ones the other day.

Rich
I've never played chess, wouldn't have a clue where to start. I used to play draughts a lot when I was younger though.
Tony
It's definitely a thinking man's game...I would liken it to the stock market anticipating futures.
NickT
If you think Chess is a hard game by thinking of multiple options 5 moves ahead, try the game of "relationship"... now that's a hard one to master. You'd be better off not playing the game at all !
Tony
Game of "relationship" never heard of it?
Viking
You've played it twice so far I think Tony.

Sagitar
You used to be able to buy a dedicated chess computer, but I don't know whether you still can. Google for the Sensory Chess Challenger 9; that's the one that I have. It uses magnetic pieces so that it knows where all the pieces are and there is a light in each board square so that it can tell you where it (the machine) wants to move. It plays at eight different levels and it won the mini-computer chess championships back in the 1980's so it's pretty good. I've played hundreds of games with it, but it always beats me . . . . . I must put some new batteries in it and have another try.
Tony
Seems the computer is a good opponent.... I can't imagine writing the software for that?
