Tony
I would love to know.... Looking at the ground they has tools so maybe they was removing the wheel but then again why do that if it's fully inflated?
Freaky Roadster
Might have been the tyre came off the rim and he sprayed with aerosol and ignited it to re-inflate. Over did it and the shock blew the wheel studs.

Isn't there an Icelandic trick to inflating large tyres? spray in some lighter fluid and then ignite it.... ttfn
liner33
Hard to tell if that is even a real video
Rich
It's an animated gif so easy to manipulate, I'm not so sure it's real, how can a wheel just blow off like that. Doesn't look like it's just the tyre.
Tony
They can blowout like that, i've seen the remains many times.
Rich
Tyre on Tyre off Tyre gone To me it looks like there is no rim left so the whole thing came off? Hard to tell from the quality though.
Tony
Hard call...... Maybe they was removing the wheel at the time?
hms
Truck tyre and split rim? h
Tony
Could be because the locking ring would be on the inside.
phipck
obviously there is a massive expelling of gass, so clearly something popped. The rim if it were still attached to the truck would be obscured by the man who remains in shot, so once the gas disapates the man would still block our view. Its possible its a fully inflated tyre and as mentioned the rim splits, it would essentially become a canon with the full weight of a truck tyre behind it! Tony
Saw a picture many years back of the imprint a fitter left on the ceiling after the lorry tyre he was blowing up.... DID.... The imprint clearly showed his laces hitting the ceiling. The image was sent to the tyre industry as a warning.
