Sagitar
What a profusion of spider webs revealed by the condensation from the mist this morning. It's a wonder how anything ever escapes when they are set so densely? And how fine they are, even when magnified several times.
scorps
Great pics, so clear and focused.
parthiban
That last picture is fantastic, as much as I hate spiders and their webs, the craftsmanship is staggering.

Sagitar
the craftsmanship is staggering. My knowledgeable friends tell me that they are made by sheet-web spiders - the little fellows that we might call money spiders - and that they live all over the world. They are looking for small prey such as midges, so they are really our friends. You can find more here
Rich
Lovely photos there and the 3rd one is great. Was it taken with a macro lens or a crop from the larger ones?

Rich
Excellent, I bet you have a good selection of lenses to choose from I think I might save for a macro lens at some point, I can't get on with that Raynox I bought so will sell it. There's a typo in my earlier reply. The final lens was a 65mm macro - this one it's excellent, but only for macro. I do have a few lenses, but then I have been collecting them for a long time. Lenses hold their value better than camera bodies, indeed they seem to be going up in price quite sharply at present. The 100mm macro that I used yesterday is over 20 years old. If you are interested in Canon lenses you can see details of their full range here. I bought several of mine second hand, but I check reviews first and do some tests for myself, even on new ones, because individual lenses can vary.
