CIH
Have a couple of arty-farty teasers; Not my drive, I haven't "taken delivery" of it yet (so if any gangsters shoot it up they still owe me a 10 minute car). If it were my drive it would be full of rusty old 80s Coupes and Saloons
Rich
Looks clean from those photos The government is going to have a job getting you to give up your old motors for new ones!!
CIH
You can see the minor damage to drivers rear door. What you can't see is the non-starting gheyness.
Tony
Looks in good condition.... what's up with the starting?
CIH
Not sure. Won't be much, it's a nice simple old bus. Tell you what isn't simple, bleedin' insurance. It's 8 months short of 20yrs old so no classic policy = £67 a month direct debit There's an 85 Accord for sale not too far away that's tidy enough, which would be much cheaper, but I'm not a Honda dude. Then again I wasn't looking for a Bluey specifically. Argh, maybe I should just bite the bullet and stump up the dough for a year.

CIH
Got it down to £56 a month with directline, of all places, plus £40 per year breakdown with Greenslag. That'll have to do. Fully comp too (not that it would ever make sense to claim). Wasted almost allday messing about with quote forms. edit: have another piccy
Rich
672 quid a year to insure a H reg bluebird!! I've never looked at classic car insurance...I take it the motor has to be over 20 years old then? Does it decrease alot on this type of policy? So if I got an F plate Escort XR3i/RST I could insure that as a classic?

CIH
Well a new set of sparkys and the Old-Giffer Pursuit SpecialTM runs sweet! It's pretty slow though It's at work untill taxed in the next few days so I introduced it to the Silvia;
CIH
Arrghhh! Why do the DVLA make it so hard to tax a bloody car huh ? Went to postoffice today to tax the bluey as from Nov 1st. Oh no, despite this being the 21st century they can't do it untill Friday without backdating it to October 1st, robbing gits. So I'll have to use the Silvia untill Nov5th, my nexty day off, so they'll charge me for the bluey from Nov1st and also the Silvia untill the end of November. So I loose out in both cases. Granted it's only about £20 but it's money they have no right to.
