My collection of unstarted model kits. Maybe I'm saving them for a rainy day ?

-updated 02/11/2008 - Sukhoi Flanker & Tmcat arrived, MIG21 & F8E (not shown) on the way out.

Babylon 5 Starfury. I'm keen for a Thunderbolt Starfury but have never seen a kit anywhere.

-My absolute favourites, from the Macross Plus/Zero anime show. Imported direct from Japan & Hong Kong. I doubt I'll ever feel I can do them justice so they'll probably never get built.

Blimey :o ...... that's quite a collection you have there, any reason you don't build them

I used to build aeroplanes when I was a kid but got bored with them as they took too long. I stick with me lego now! :D

If you do build them all where you gonna put them?

I think that's the problem as I don't really have anywhere to display them.

Actually, no. Secretly, I'm saving them for when I get my own gaffe but I don't know when that will be.

Think he posted twice by accident a double post.

Do you have any build photos yet Tony?

d/p, m8, omg is all double Dutch to me mate..... Lets stick with SAI, KPI, IA, TOOT

As for the build.... it went well, the team and myself had some issues with the transmission and decal but other than that spot on.

It's currently being valeted then i will display her in the full glory

  • 2 weeks later...

Progress on the Foxbat build:

Foxbat-2.jpg

Foxbat-1.jpg

That's wings, engine necelle fronts (inlets), landing-gear bay doors joined and deseamed.

The fuselage body halves have been gluded and taped together while they dry overnight. Then more sanding of the seams before attaching the upper and lower body panels and probably wing missile hardpoints.

It's a jap Hasegawa kit so I've no idea what colours to paint it in yet.

Spend all day "modelling" and the glue does funny things to your head :)

Got all the control surfaces and body toegther and deseamed now. Running out of stuff to do untill I get the paints so I've started my Sukhoi Berkut (Golden Eagle) too.

Sheesh. Didn't building anything for 8 months and now I've 2 on the go.

Piccys soon.

I built a small but interesting lego collection last year but some idiot (ie me) put them all in with his stash of car parts and they went to the tip
