Tony
I'm looking for a Lamo/ Ferrari replica. I don't think i want another Countach but still interested in other models. As for the Ferrari i'm not looking for older classics.

Rich
Apart from eBay and autotrader I don't have a clue where to look for one. Will you actually use this one?

Rich
There's quite a few on ebay, I like this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FERRARI-F430-SPIDER-REPLICA-RECREATION-KIT-CAR-BASED-ON-MR2-RED-CREAM-LEATHER-/263075220235

Viking
What's it's base / engine? Toyota MR2, 2003, 1.8ltr Petrol.
Tony
Correct.... Nothing that can't have a turbo fitted to.... I'm going to email the seller and find out what is shown though the plexi glass in the boot?
adam_r
Nice but I'm not sure... I would want the engine theme tune to boot with the Ferrari.. And a 1.8vvt engine won't suit at all... Even with a turbo it's going to be pretty slow 😕
adam_r
What's your price range Tony?
Tony
What's your price range Tony? Well around this price at 15k
Tony
This is what's in the boot?
Viking
I would say that's a dummy engine cover.
Tony
It's quite convincing if only at a glance..
Rich
I was going to say if you're willing to spend £15k on a replica then why not go for an old genuine Ferrari until I looked at the prices. I'm sure 5+ years a go you could pick some up for under £30k, now the cheapest seem to be double that! If done well the replicas are nice but if I was spending that money I think I'd go for an old V8 in a Maserati or a Jag. You can pick an MR2 up for under £2k, is the bodykit and interior really worth an extra £13k?
Tony
I've looked at older Ferrari's and they are out of my reach plus i don't really like them anyway.... The MR2 are cheap as chips but with a good body kit plus sundries and a good paint job commands 15k - 25k. This one has been dropped in price from 21k ( desperate seller ) lucky for me... If i do get it a turbo is a must although i'm not really looking for speed more the sound.
Tony
I've spoken to the owner and made an offer which is the asking price minus having it transported to my home.... Get ready to throw stones.... I'm buying it unseen and having it transported because i'm not up to driving to Great Yarmouth so can anyone help me towards transport, collect Great Yarmouth deliver to Hemel.
