parthiban
It will come...... Fact is though it would take one hell of a mess to make your car look dirty. It doesn't look so great at the moment, I've had it out in the rain a few times recently and it's a bit filthy (rather embarrassingly!) I need to get Shahz round to sort it out

SHAHZ
Typical! Last weekend got in the car to go get my MOT.... Bong, front side light blown Still passed and I ordered a new set, the replacement sent under warranty a while ago were crap anyway so went for some different ones Big heat sink! Didn't think it would fit, but it's a perfect fit! Left side changed Both bulbs replaced Can't really tell on the pics, but they are visibly brighter than that last set! One of my xenons has also blown, replacement bulbs arrived today and need to get them fitted!
Tony
They are an easy fit. On some cars it could take over an hour just to fit a bulb.
Rich
How did it pass with a side light blown? They look great, I bet you get flashed by oncoming drivers now!
Tony
At the time of the test it was working
parthiban
Big heat sink! That is a huge heatsink! Looks great @ Rich I'm assuming he has a friendly MOT tester

Rich
Big heat sink! That is a huge heatsink! Looks great @ Rich I'm assuming he has a friendly MOT tester The same as mine then he probably would've let that slide as he knows I'd change it immediately. SHAHZ
They are an easy fit. On some cars it could take over an hour just to fit a bulb. The headlight won't be as easy, the whole lamp will need to come out! How did it pass with a side light blown? They look great, I bet you get flashed by oncoming drivers now! He knows I'd replace it, and as Tony says, it was working at the time of the test.... No way to prove it wasn't! I remember on the Lexus when one of the shocks was leaking, he passed it but put the miles around 200 less on the on the mot then it was to cover himself! Big heat sink! That is a huge heatsink! Looks great @ Rich I'm assuming he has a friendly MOT tester Friggin massive, when I saw it I thought there's no way it would fit!
SHAHZ
So it's been quite some time since I've done an update, so here goes...Headlight blew so had to get a replacement, bit of a PIAas the whole lamp needs to come out, replaced the pair Old out New inNot long after, it was running really rough at high speeds, all 6 coil packs replaced
SHAHZ
December 2015, I came out to thisWhat was left of the barrelThey had unlocked the car, however luckily my car has had the security update that prevents the windows from being rolled down, if it had, they could have reached down to the OBD port without the alarm going off and reprogrammed another key!Passenger side door handles don't have key holes, my solution, I got a right side door handle from a left hand drive carAs I was getting the carrier sprayed, I got my wing mirrors redone as they where covered in chipsWhile I was at it, I thought I might as wellIt's been sat there for a while, only fitted it a few weeks back
SHAHZ
Tail end of last year, the car started running rough on cold starts, smoke test showed the rocker cover was cracked!Whilst this helped, it soon was running rough again in cold starts which is now indicating injectors as the coils and plugs have been changed; still haven't got round to getting them changed. Also, last week I have noticed a bit of coolant leaking by one of the pipes, I think the pipe needs replacing! SHAHZ
As my wheels hadn't been put back on last year, I washed and sealed them Gave the car a good washAnd put the wheels back on Couple of them do need a refurb, will try and get them done over the summer ! As i was putting them back on, i found one of the front bolts wouldn't tighten, so i think it has threaded, I've left it for now as i was running on 4 bolts all round on the winters as i couldn't find the locking nut! Tony
Bummer about the attempted theft, just as well you had extra security. The rocker cover is odd, has someone tried to tighten it?.... Needless to say the final look is stunning so well done
liner33
Still looking good ! Had the same idea re -door handles on my Skyline , I replaced both sides with the ones from the rear doors of the 4 door models , no key holes . Fitted a switch in the boot that popped the door on the drivers side if the remote locking failed
Tony
So long as the NSF doesn't have a key hole under the lock cover in the event the battery goes flat?
SHAHZ
Thanks gents! Not sure on the rocker cover, may well have been! Nope no key hole on either side! Got this fitted too Comes with proximity / shock sensors, immobiliser and OBD immobiliser Quick vid of the prox sensor http://rs780.pbsrc.com/albums/yy86/AIYA_Z/Car/82B33940-969D-46F2-8395-CFE872E2861A_1.mp4?w=160&h=160&fit=clip

Rich
Love those wheels mate Can't believe you took a couple of photos from the CCTV footage! Is the standard alarm and immobiliser no good on the BMW?
SHAHZ
my phone was inside on charge, hence I took them from inside Yeah they are prone to theft via the ODB port Rich, with the ODB cut off and prox sensor its much safer, hence the upgrade! SHAHZ
Got the coolant leak sorted, it was a 3 way pipe that comes from the expansion tank that was leaking, here's the old one.Got a service tooStill have the issue of the cold starts to sort, he cleaned the engine solenoid and said to see if it makes any difference, I suspect it won't and will need new injectors, will find out tomorrow!!
