Well he replaced it with a mk1 MX5

Thanks to some woman driving too fast for the road conditions

Really gutted for him

He got a bump and a small cut on his head , possibly from the roof handle

MX5's dont crash well by the looks of things , it wasnt that big an impact

That's not good, hopefully no concussion or anything. In that case yes they don't appear to crash that well, but I wonder if many cars from that era would be that good.

Jago had a Rover 827 with around 350hp before the yellow MG so its back to a big powerful car really

The R33 is nice but needs a fair bit of TLC , its been lowered too far (since the pic) and has tyres so wide they foul the arch liner so will need a bit of work

Lets hope no other drivers take a dislike to it

The little MX was quick , his was 95hp at the wheels but due to the gearing and lightweight it didnt half shift , probably on par with the Skyline till 60 or so

That is interesting cos on paper I think it's about 10 seconds to 60. Mind you Toyota claim mine is 8 seconds whereas in real life it's 6 seconds.

His was the s spec with a close ratio box and very short gearing , only would do 90mph flat out , I suspect that deviates from the norm somewhat

That's ok, the limit is only 70 mph!

I take it not all of the 5's came with a close ratio box?

No i dont think so

At 60-65mph he was doing 5000rpm , not a motorway car

But the later ones came with a 6th gear so perhaps they did

You have to bear in mind also that he bought the Eunos in about November, so hasnt really has the roads to properly play with it , quite sad really , i do know following him in my R34 i did have to put my foot down more than i thought i would to keep up

Just messaged him and he said that dynolicious recorded 0-60's of 8.9-9.1
