Yep that's 430mm from centre wheel to arch  It turns out that not only was it stock high rise suspension but for some reason the front upper bushings where twisted (preloaded) in this condition the car would have been very dangerous to drive.

Our mission was to lower the car with new coils and release the bushings, once done we had a superb looking and handling car plus a very happy owner to boot

Looks like a range rover

If this is a second hand car I wonder what the previous owner thought of the handling, or maybe that's why they sold it! Surely anyone can see that don't look right for a sports car!

The OSF wing had been replaced so there was some history but nothing in the suspension department was replaced.... Exactly how the front bushings where twisted is a mystery :)

Does this not happen when you torque them when the car is off the wheels?

That's correct, what's puzzling is why? It's not like there was new parts fitted and why both sides....

Highly unlikely it would be like that from the factory though ?

How else could it happen?

Some repair's have gone on with this car, i don't think we will ever get to the bottom of why the bushings were preloaded...... but they were
