SMARTLY
I had the louvres on the rear window of my Daytona Yellow Capri, no spoiler though.
liner33
I saw louvres making a bit of a comeback in the US , saw a few modern Mustangs with them

You know what i actually remember them... They were a fast-back statues in their day. .... Ok in this thread i was tacking the p**s a bit but i think the Ford Capri was a performance landmark in it's day... The best pick must have been the 2.8I wide-artch rally version... Boy did that thing move!
Rich
I've never seen a car on the road with louvres and then tonight on the way home from Norfolk an old Capri passed me with them on! Do they actually serve a purpose or is it for styling?
Tony
Just for looks methinks...They face the wrong way to be aerodynamic.
SMARTLY
They keep the rain off the rear window
Tony
True....They also make the window a bugger to clean.
SMARTLY
You don't need to clean it But if you do the louvres are fairly easy to remove as they are secured by cams, so just turn those through 90 degrees if I remember.
Tony
I'm not keen on the letter box rear view anyway. But whatever you are right they are easy to remove.....And nick
