adam_r
You a drug dealer Tony? 😂 Do you really need CCTV?
Tony
I do when my car is under threat.... Plus before i lived here the house had been burgled twice.
SMARTLY
So have you got to get power to each camera? That's not easy to do yourself if you are having the cameras up high away from the scrotes.
Tony
I'm ok in the front of the house because i can use the holes drilled for the fake camera and power from the night light.
SMARTLY
Why are there holes drilled through the wall for the fake cameras?
Rich
I think maybe you're in panic mode as it does sound like a one off and is unlikely to happen again. I would be looking at replacing the door locks, adding sash jammers and upping the house security if there have been previous break ins, that would be concerning me more than the car. Tony
Why are there holes drilled through the wall for the fake cameras? No they are drilled into the wall not through it.
Rich
What if the holes are not in the same position as the fake one?

Reason i've gone this far is there is going to be a new mosque opening just down the road from me that can seat over 400 people but there's only 25 parking spaces and we struggle to park now so it's going to be a mare. Viking
CCTV is a good idea in my opinion. If nothing else, you can check the coverage if someone kicks the car and the Police don't catch the person responsible.
Tony
That's my thinking.. Same could be said about the mosque and people parking.... I mean what are the council thinking? It will be able to seat 400 people, it has two class rooms and will hold weddings and funerals all with 25 parking bays 5 of which are for the disabled so in truth there will br 20 parking bays. Why allow this in a residential area??
SMARTLY
My point about the holes in the wall wasn't to mount the cameras but to run the power cable to them as presumably you don't want them running along the outside wall. Tony
Oh i see.. Well no i don't but the PIR is powered next to my current CCTV so i could use that as a feed.... If it does get attacked i'm not to fussed because it comes with four cameras and i only want one...maybe two at the most.
Tony
Well that didn't last long?....According to the stats is says and i quote " 1*4T Hard Drive," Turns out it didn't have a HD so there would be additional cost...The reason i chose this one was it had everything including a HD so i've sent it back. Rich
I'm assuming you bought it from Amazon and chose the option without a hard drive rather than the one with.
Tony
It was meant to be with a HD, well that's what the advert said. It was hardly cheap so i was dammed if i'm going to pay more for something it was meant to have.

Tony
Pic on the top of the thread, the last bullet point says "All-in-one 4CH Wireless HD System with built-in 10.1" Monitor with 1*4T Hard Drive".
