Tony
As bad as that is i fail to understand why it would make a drumming noise?
P4UL T
Don't know mate
Tony
Did you manage to move the tyres/ wheels side-to-side?
P4UL T
No mate, I just put the spare on, the noise is definitely from that corner and I figured if the noise was still there with a completely wheel and tyre it obviously wasn't the tyre in the first place
Tony
Ok you nailed that one..... Odd type of noise "drumming" from brakes though but whatever looking at the condition they need attention so by elimination that's your next port of call.
P4UL T
Deffo, I'm on the case.
Rich
I've read good things about pagid but they are more expensive that Mintex, Delphi and Bosch - for the Accord anyway.
P4UL T
Prob go for the Pagid ones then They are only 17 quid more and it's convient as I can collect they from Euro car parts rather than dealing with delivery with no one at home during the day. I think ECP also do cash back via Quidco too. Â
Tony
Paul can you be sure to clean the pad carrier, it looks really distressed.
Rich
Try your local motorfactors first as well.
Viking
Don't forget to use one of the many Euro Car Parts codes for discount, and as said try other motor factors as well. I get all my brakes from Darlington Motor Factors, and they're cheaper than ECP with their discount code.

Rich
Try GSF car parts and use the code CC20 for 20% off - http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ Â Or maybe try Motex - http://www.motexgroup.com/index.php/romford
P4UL T
Thanks Rich, Â Looks like there is a GSF down the road, They sell Vtech discs & pads? Brembo discs and Bendix pads? Â Will have to call Motex
P4UL T
Today my mate and I fitted the Pagid stuff from ECP.  All came apart easily, I was surprised to see the OS had exactly the same problem  Pics: Both discs showing uneven wear on the inside (this pic shows both discs, one on top of the other)  Pads  We were at a loss as to why this happened. It's as if the inside edge of the disc was a harder material than the rest and hasn't worn at the same rate as the rest of the disc? A manufacturing fault maybe? They were Ford OEM items.  Anyway we cleaned everything up and refitted applying copper grease in the appropriate places. All seemed well. A quick spin home on the duel carrageway revealed the drumming noise has gone, so I'm a happy man for now. I will just have to keep an eye on them. Tony
Well there's a lot of contamination on the pads so i assume the sliders/ carriers were the same.
P4UL T
Please excuse my ignorance, but contamination from what? Do you mean rust? If so, everything was cleaned up with a wire brush.
