DaveyR
Good to see that petrol pumps have some sort of safety valve in them to prevent petrol gushing out should the line get severed......
Rich
I don't understand what happened, she was filling up and then the driver pulled away for no apparent reason? If you're going to steal fuel wouldn't you finish filling up and just get back in the car.
liner33
Good to see that petrol pumps have some sort of safety valve in them to prevent petrol gushing out should the line get severed...... How would the pump know the hose was severed ?
Tony
Because the trigger wasn't engaged.
liner33
How would it know the trigger is pressed ?
Tony
I'm sure there could be a connection between the trigger and a shutoff valve.
SMARTLY
The trigger is on the end of a "rubberish" pipe so no way of detecting it, hence why the attendant ran back in to turn of the electrics. I'm guessing the attendant somehow knew what they were doing, which is why she was loitering and then picked up the fire extinguisher and put in front of the car ...... maybe she should have thrown it at the windscreen ..... Tony
I'm just surprised it didn't catch fire.
