I think you could trust them to seem ok when new, then jam up after some serious miles rendering your wheels stuck on the car, requiring violence to remove!

Assuming that it didn't create an oval wheel sensation! imagine an inexperienced boy racer combining this feature with wheels that had too large a bore for the car - lining that up even long enough to fit the wheels, let alone driving over average road bumps...

I can imagine 'Construction and Use' regulations used as a non-insurance valid claim / dangerous vehicle charge in an accident.
