Rich
Just been reading this months Evo magazine and one of the entries for car of the year is the Morgan 3 wheeler. Most 3 wheelers I've seen have one at the front, not the rear. So does the thrust angle still exist on this car, how would you measure it as you obviously can't drive it onto a ramp? I'm assuming the rear wheel is fixed and not adjustable, so if the fronts are adjustable how do you align them to the rear?
Tony
Strict build centering the rear wheel. A frame fixed to the rear wheel and three wheel laser system is my best guess.
SMARTLY
The Messerchmitt I used to own was two at the front and one at the back, like this: Mind you they did do some with two wheels at the back.
Tony
Wow you owned one of these........
SMARTLY
Yes, it got written off at the bottom of Whippendell Road in Watford after a guy in a Morris Minor ( who was drunk ) pulled out in front of me. It was only then I realised there was no protection for the occupant. Fortunately I was OK but could easily have crushed my legs or worse
Tony
What a shame it was written off but as you say at least you were ok.

How does 3 wheel laser alignment work then? Have you ever been asked if you can align a 3 wheeler? I'm assuming any geometry issues would need a trip to the dealer then. Glad you were ok though, the car does look like it offers any protection.
SMARTLY
It's changes since I used to live down there. It was a straight junction onto the main road ( no roundabouts on that side of the bridges ).
Rich
It's probably even worse now, no one knows which lane they want or suppose to be in!!
parthiban
Does the rear wheel play any part though? Surely with only one wheel at the back it has to just point dead straight and be perfectly vertical (unless perhaps you're on a track with more turns one way than the other)
Tony
I would come into play if the toe was to far out.
