  1. It feels bigger than the CT in the front but we don’t need back seats anymore and they are usually filled with the wife’s coats and jumpers . It’s got enough room for us but the boot is a certainly smaller than the Prius Wife loves it to bits , much more powerful than the Prius and about the same on fuel the build quality os top notch as well
  2. I think its the same engine as the Lexus UX that we have, I think they share the same Corolla platform , my wife loves it , i find the bleeps very annoying as it seems to bleep at me all the time but its very easy to drive and great for long trips. Ours is almost 3 years old now and 20k on it , trouble free apart from what sounds like a wheel bearing on the front wheel but its probably a stone behind the disc Much prefer the 2.0 and improved gearbox only criticism is that's its smaller in the rear and boot than the Prius
  3. Have you considered Discord Rich ? One of the groups I am in uses it and it seems very similar to the old BB pages but I think it’s free
  4. Wouldn't be surprised if BMW altered the steering feel with load as they already alter it with modes and speed
  5. Wheels are a pig to clean though
  6. Yep these cars come with Pirelli Pz4 or Michelin PS4 I've driven both and the latter are certainly better but as said these cars have amazing mechanical grip and are a very different beast to the previous generation
  7. Not sure if they are selling above RRP but I got 16% discount when I ordered and that's no longer available and the price goes up at the end of the month Im guessing a forum update has broken the Imgur linking option which is what I've used since photobucket self destructed
  8. Bummer do the Imgur limks no long work ? I noticed there is no preview on threads now
  9. Thought id start a thread . my '21 M4 Comp , ordered back in April when the dealers reopened but held up due to the chip shortage (Car was built and in UK but the parking cameras where missing so i had a 3 month wait , 6 months in total) . Yes, Its the one with the controversial grille. The 4wd version has been launched now but I'm a rwd guy anyhow , these cars are well planted unlike some of the previous models Spec is Tanzanite Blue with Silverstone Extended leather, laser lights , comfort pack and tech pack . Basically these add some self driving tech , heated wheel , built in dashcam and few other goodies This replaced my M235i which was an awesome car, but this is the logical next step. Sold the M235i for £250 less than I paid for it in 2018 thanks to the bonkers pricing Day I collected it Have had it fully ceramic coated with a 5 yr + product - BMW paid for this as compensation for the wait Been enjoying it on the odd day
  10. The brake caliper can be seen at 9 o'clock on the wheel , the disc runs on the outside of the wheel It doesn't need spokes as it's mounted on the inside of the barrel of the wheel rather than the centre

    RX8 coilovers

Alternatively the BC Racing ones are ok https://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applications/mazda-coilovers/mazda-rx-8/mazda-rx8-03.html I think Tein are softer than they were but back when I had my Skyline my rear dampers blew and they wouldnt sell me replacements only the whole shebang of springs and dampers, a mate fitted a set on his Skyline and they ride well but 2 years in the front damper rod is making a knocking noise so he is going to need to sort a new one.
  12. Look to be 3d printed , Porsche are currently playing with 3d printed pistons https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/porsche-tests-3d-printed-pistons-for-911-gt2-rs/ The cylinder head on my BMW is 3d printed
  13. Yep my little Up has dropped almost 10 mpg since the swap to e10
  14. Can't imagine getting any power down on that back wheel , I suspect its and art project
  15. Insufficient room for turbo under the bonnet , not uncommon and there used to be one system that was right on the tailpipe .
  16. Would love to hear that, I dabbled with nice sounding rather than high end aftermarket audio in a few of my old cars . Really enjoyed the project and the results
  17. The rule is fill it with super unleaded if its a metal tank , run it low if its a plastic tank . If you are going to park it up for more than a couple of months its probably worthwhile adding a fuel stabiliser as well
  18. We have a pair of red kites in the garden , last summer we had a tame pheasant. I open this link on my phone and play the audio link to call them in https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/trees-woods-and-wildlife/animals/birds/red-kite/
  19. All dealers have a price that they aren't going to budge on, they just hope for more and often get it Since the majority of people now buy on finance less and less haggle, I have a mate who has never haggled just doesn't feel comfortable doing it Personally I wont pay any admin charges when buying a car and if they wont negotiate I'll move onto to somewhere that will, but that's not how the game is played for most sales today
  20. They have the same business model as "We buy any car", they buy the car direct from the customer, store it somewhere and sell it online , they have to check the car under law but you have the right to return for a few days/weeks after purchase WBAC are doing the same with Cinch, this is the future of car sales as most people car the same about buying a car as they do about buying a tin of baked beans Watch this space as the dealers start to do the same
  21. Straight from the factory means they would likely be dry anyhow, probably sums up the demise of the US car industry sadly
  22. A mate is having a similar problem with his daughters Mitsubishi Colt , the fault has been traced to a faulty steering rack but the price is too high to make financial sense think its ITRO £1700 on a car worth £900 Any chance that the car had received a knock ?
