phipck
this happened a little while ago, she was fine in the end thankfully, but it has since been used as you said to highlight the signs but also has proven that anybody is capable of having a stroke, or epileptic episode even if they have no prior symptoms. SMARTLY
remember FAST: FAST requires an assessment of three specific symptoms of stroke. Facial weakness - can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped? Arm weakness - can the person raise both arms? Speech problems - can the person speak clearly and understand what you say? Tony
Obviously we are pleased she is well but the message is a poignant one.
Rich
It's quite shocking how quickly it happens, glad she was ok though. My cousins husband had a mild stroke a few years ago in his early 30's and made a full recovery. This has actually reminded me of that cos I saw him on Friday and you never would have thought it had happened to him. My parents neighbour though had a massive stroke that took her life
