Video from inside a working engine

It's fascinating, but also I think, a bit misleading.

It gives the superficial impression of showing several complete combustion cycles, but a section of the exhaust stroke is missing and careful examination seems to show that it is in fact rather less than a single complete four-stroke cycle duplicated several times.

I wonder why? It's difficult to imagine that the camera failed after less than one complete cycle, but why otherwise would they not show a complete cycle?

It is obviously taken with a high speed camera. I wonder if the frame speed and the space constraints meant that they could record for only a very short period?
