Rich
It's for tracking, website mentions adjusting the camber but how would they do it with that?

Look at the image. Yep, well spotted..... The aligner used three points of contact on the wheel. it cannot do wheel run-out so you definitely cannot put it against the wheel trim
Rich
Never thought of the trim as everytime I've seen Tony do a geo on a car with them he leaves them on. Or maybe the clamps fit over them ok?

Or maybe the clamps fit over them ok? When i roll the car "back-forth" the machine calibrates the run-out and centres it..... If there's to much it warns me. Tony
Laser alignment that needs three points at the wheel to centre the gauge, it can't electronically compensate for lateral run-out so the whole operation is pants. CIH
so is it acceptable to Geo a car with the trims insitu ?
Tony
so is it acceptable to Geo a car with the trims insitu ? Our clamps hug the tyre and only use the three points as a guide and then the machine does the compensation so yes.
