Tony
Definitely an issue with torsional chassis flex, what bracing to you have "sprung/ unsprung?".
Tony
Lateral linkages seem reasonably braced..... Why did you remove the rear ARB? Â BHP explains the chassis flex. Â I assume the camber adjuster are front only? Â Has the Geometry calibration been set at all? Â What is the cars arena..... track, trial, drag? I have a front strut brace , the centre underneath the car by the rear gbox mount has a big brace And i have a full bolted in roll cage But it does have a webasto sun roof

CIH
oh wow is that the Dolly Cossie from RetroCars issue1 ? I didn't know it was still around! I nearly got a (standard) sprint a few years ago. Even knocked around the Dolomite Owners club forum for a little while.

Daz f
What suspension do you have on the front? I have AVO double adjustables But they are a bit of a shorter stroke I think its a 13" stroke as standard I have 10" as its lowered,

Tony
That's a shame, i wanted to off-set the pre-load..... Is there any possibility the bracing could be increased?
Daz f
That's a shame, i wanted to off-set the pre-load..... Is there any possibility the bracing could be increased? I would like to purchase some decent shocks but dont know which ones to buy. Do you mean to stiffen the chassis As all i could do now if you mean this is to have the cage welded in fully And have it through the bulk head and welded to the turret tops I think the torsional rigididty is quite good as i can lift the front wheel up of the ground With a jack the doors all open and shut ok. (Which i didnt think was bad for a 35 year old chassis) Not like a Rover 200 my sister had .....
Daz f
Engines aren't my strong point but is it a cossie? Daz f
Would you agree the images displaying lift are under acceleration? The very top picture i was on trailing throttle and just turning as i went into the corner too quick And didnt want to touch the throttle until i had made it mostly through the corner

I hope mine hasnt turned to jelly  I see that.... But the problem then was diagonal loading during transition, plus castor sweep was a mystery in those days.  The images of your car are under thrust application, do you agree with that?
