i've just ordered an eibach camber adjustment kit for my monedo mk2 from potn, (thanks for the link ER) . i need to get a set of spring compressors and wonder which of these two would be better, bear in mind i'll probably not use them again for quite some time. i dont know what length they need to be either. i'll be greatful of any input.

thanks for the offer scorps but i havent got the camber kit yet and wont be fitting it until nearer the club day late july/august time as i reckon the car will handle pants until it is set up, may even be dangerous??? so dont want to hang on to them for six weeks or so incase you need then in the mean time.

I found these ones earlier on http://www.screwfix.com/prods/45986/Automo...ompressor-Kit?c If you have a Screwfix Trade Counter nearby they seem good value. Seems I need some to fit my new strut brace...

i saw those to but was unsure about the single hook on each end the halfords ones have a twin hook either end which seems to me less chance of slipping??

edit the screw fix and halfords ones look similar, the single hook ones were on ebay, my mistake.

If asked to use that type i would refuse... The OEM coil has a high rate and that type of compressor has a habit of slipping :D

They have twin hooks as far as I can see.

These ones any good? Hardly budget, but not unreasonable.

youre right about the twin hooks, i was getting mixed up with a set i saw on ebay.

that set above looks the business but i'm only going to use them once (i hope) so cant justify that much dosh for a one off use.

Yes, there's a new thread on MEG about a club meet at WiM. Date uncertain at the moment.

I need to speak to Nick about a date for MEG.

i was going to ask what date would be best for a sunday club day, i was under the impression sometime after july 13th into august but not the last sunday of either month. ford fair is on august 3rd so i doubt that would be a good idea.

here's the link to the MEG thread http://www.fordmondeo.org/forum/showtopic....483269/#1483269

if you want to post any further info etc in there then feel free.

thanks for the offer of the install on the day i'll certainly bearit in mind

i will try to call in and meet you personally before the day.

They're the ones I have...I've used them to lower the mondeo (twice) and on the peugeot when doing the shocks.

Make sure you do it in an open space cos if the clamp does slip you don't want the spring punching a hole in the car door! :D
