Likely they've put some sealant around the cowling, and its going to take longer to sure than the time the aircraft is on the ground, so tape it over to protect it. Tango Posted May 30, 2015 Report Share Posted May 30, 2015 It'll be well covered for regulation purposes as any modification to aircraft has to be certified by the particular governing body e.g. CAA. FAA etc. I couldn't do even a minor mod to my glider from 'standard' without first getting approval, and as this would require so much time and reams of paperwork it usually isn't worth it.
