Rich
I cleaned the summer wheels yesterday and decided it's time to bring the pressure washer in for the winter to protect it from frost damage. The only real place I can keep it is the loft but it does get really cold up there. I assume it will be ok up there, after all the water tank is also there but that is insulated? SMARTLY
Can't you drain it or pump the water out with no supply connected and then leave it in the shed? I leave mine in the garage which is cold and it's always been fine. I drained my hope pipe yesterday and put that away for the winter and insulated the tap. Rich
I tilted it forward/backwards to get the water out but I don't want to chance it getting damaged. I didn't do my hosepipe last year and it was ok but then it was a mild winter, have yours split when frozen then? I'll turn the tap off though. SMARTLY
Mine have never split but it just tidies it all up. Pressure washer won't damage if it's on for less than 5 seconds with no water.
parthiban
Yep I've always turned the tap off and run it until empty, never had any issues. And it's left in the garage which isn't heated and again no issues with that either.
JamesV70R
I run mine until it is dry - turn on for 3 seconds, turn off for a few until water stops running out, run again for 2 or 3, and off again and that should be the majority of it out. Your loft may get cold, but it'll still (hopefully!!) be warmer than the shed. Mine has survived a few years of this and then being put in the shed for the winter. parthiban
I can't remember which one you've got, but I'm assuming it's quite small? I definitely wouldn't be wanting to carry mine up into the loft!
Rich
I didn't know you could empty it like that I've just turned it on and more water came out so I think it's empty now. Yeah it's a small one, can carry it in one hand easily
