The reason i say about my Pirelli`s on the front is although they are good tyres on the wet & dry is that they do get affected and cause tramlining...tyre pressure is spot on and the geo is ok.......... anyway getting of topic and this is Doodlebug`s post....soz matey

I believe the OEM spec tyres for 350Z was bridgestone potenza REO40`s and they say that deviating from the OEM spec ones is a major probllem and can cause no end of probs with the handling of the car...

Mines a LEX IS200 sport with the "18" styling alloys......so how would you know what the correct tyre fittment was....as in the specific code to suit the LEX..as in the handbook they dont specify the "18" only "17" Tony.. i always went for the extra load 92Y like on the front pirrelli`s on the rear they are the Dunlop sport Maxx ( Japan) 88Y........ cant see any codes like CZ etc.......Thats why i always try to stick to as close to OEM tyres ( within reason ) as possible...as they spend lots of money testing tyres....

I would assume aswell Tony that any sort of impact could have serious consiquence not only to the tyre but to the alloy as the profile is so small that it would not absorb any type of impact so this would vibrate through to the wheel..... IMHO it looks stupid....i could paint thicker rubber on them alloys with some black resin paint...

How do you forget to put are rear ARB back on.....AND they are a top marque.!!! cowboys.......now wheres my milk...

I hear there was an Audi RS6 the other day. Yes there was...... Actually i'm in error, the Audi in today was an RS8 Maybe an R8... There is also an S8. But no RS8. :-) Finally found out what it was...... An R8 Nice motor .....i think the front of them looks like the Alien of the Alien films ( saga ) just when it shows its teeth and its about to .....well you know the rest...

I would say ... 1. Recomendation not only in BRAND but from other peoples experience ( As long as they are fitted to a Lexus is200 like mine ) as Tango says a tyre that is on one car is not always the same for others... 2.. I would say to try and stick as close to OEM as possible... 3. Price....we all are a bit more aware of price`s these days with the credit crunch....BUT i personally would always pay a bit more for better tyres as these are the only things that keep you on the road and we use them day in day out.... Just my point of view..

yeah ya not wrong Tony.. :angry: was driving me nuts and was begining to think it was me until Tony B drove her......trouble is it made it worse the more i drove her because of the heat that was generated between the flange/hub and the brake disc...could feel it through the wheel and the brake pedal......all ok now though . .....through a lot of hard work and thought processing between everyone at WIM..... I am now happy with her....( the car that is ) .... :angry:

I prefer the S2000 but can be a wee bit tricky in the wet ( rear wheel drive ) MX-5 prob the safer bet.

You would only buy and replace in pairs anyway ?

Lovely looking motor mate i really love them..have test drove one and they do sound gorgeous....if i had one id get the NISMO full body kit and the Nismo "19" forged alloy`s ....but thats my taste.... like this without the decals...
