  1. First side about 30 mins as there was loads of slack in the bar. The other side (passenger) seemed alot more awkward, not just cos the bar was now alot stiffer but where the rear bolt was. I couldn't get to it so just undid the other one and bent the clamp right back!!
  2. Yep sure can and I was surprised at how easy it was, I thought I was gonna have a tough time! Dread to think what I would do if a bolt or the clamp snapped!!
  3. No one else got an opinion on this?
  4. Interesting as the bushes were only just starting to show signs of cracking but there was no play in it. Had been on there a year and half I think so that's pretty good for a pattern part
  5. Yep...I was starting to get the arse with the second one once I'd fitted the first bush as it had made the bar really stiff! Glad they're done though...would these have made the steering feel more responsive or would that have been caused by the lower arm I also fitted today?
  6. These are the reason why I'm sunburnt and got no skin left on me knuckles!! lol Tony fitted the rear ones 18 months ago, only just got around to doing the fronts! I managed to do them without lowering the subframe, was a sod to do as I had to bend the bracket up, punch the old bush out and then carefully push the new one in. Took a while to bend the bracket back to the same shape! Verdict - Steering feels more responsive now and it's alot firmer, I had a job getting the droplinks back on!
  7. You will need to click the image to see the larger version and sorry if the text is too small the batteries need charging for the normal camera. If you want hi-res ones I will take some tomorrow. Now although I don't own a Jap motor I always buy the older issues when I'm down the market and this article caught my eye. A Honda Jazz which has 15 degrees of negative rear camber!! The owner said he gets 'really fast' tyre wear, it handles brilliantly and looks good! Now to me I think it looks crap and being on 19's that's gonna cost alot in tyres! But is there any truth in it handling better like this? What do you guys think of it then?
  8. I think they will only do damage if you hit them at excessive speed, I'm sure that's what Tony told me. Although if I'm honest I always go over them slowly anyway just in case!
  9. Tony covered that here - http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/ind...?showtopic=2773
  10. That was bad mate! What is the most common reason then when the owner remembers? I bet it's hitting a pot hole or kerb.
  11. See this thread mate - http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/ind...?showtopic=2969 Welcome to WIM as well
  12. Think I'm gonna have to stop by everyday to see these motors in the flesh, that's gorgeous! Saw a red one the weekend which looked stunning, that was an 08 plate as well.
  13. Welcome to WIM, I've attached the image for you
  14. Dunno.... But i gained a really good link today with an outlet so i will ask Cheers Do Eibach do uprated anti roll bars for mine as well? I know you can get them in America for the contour but it would be useful to know if they sell them over here? What year is yours again? 2000 X reg - MK2 TD...these have bigger ARB that the petrols on the rear aswell.

  16. Nice! Agree with a big brake conversion. Do Tein make suspension for mondeos?
  17. That's so crazy you have to laugh! Did no one try and stop her then?
  18. lol Those rims look cool How much would a finish like that cost then?
  19. If asked to use that type i would refuse... The OEM coil has a high rate and that type of compressor has a habit of slipping They're the ones I have...I've used them to lower the mondeo (twice) and on the peugeot when doing the shocks. Make sure you do it in an open space cos if the clamp does slip you don't want the spring punching a hole in the car door!
  20. How can Lexus say there is no problem when that photo says it all!!
  21. Well that shouldn't be too difficult as the centre and business park have different postcodes!!! lol Sorry I'll get me coat!!
  22. Some good photos there Tony...glad I weren't the only one taking photos of my car!! Luckily I had the camera to hand or I would've missed Bazza! Wouldn't mind a ride in it meself next time
  23. Yep just the EZ cam bolt...... Box of two is about £30 and the fitting is around the same. Cheers
