  1. West Hyde, off Chalfont Lane. They have made a right mess of the countryside! Also works going on in Denham and in Amersham they're building a massive ventilation shaft. https://youtu.be/yxObryGVaAk
  2. Just been for a walk and as I got halfway down my road I didn't realise just how visible the HS2 works are on the horizon!

    Another new car.

That was rotten luck, hope it didn't cost too much to fix!
  4. That's not good at all Don't they have anyone check the bolts after the first person has done them up?
  5. Rich

    Another new car.

That's a shame, I guess lockdown hasn't helped either. No point having a car sitting there doing nothing and losing money.
  6. How comes none of the people on the deck really moved if it was that powerful?
  7. It's a photoshop/digital model! https://www.autoevolution.com/news/jeep-wrangler-hot-rod-looks-like-a-hemi-dwarf-in-sharp-rendering-154789.html#
  8. Am I looking at that right and the rims have actually worn halfway down? Surely metal is harder than tarmac, wouldn't it have chewed it up instead?
  9. That's really impressive. Has there ever been a case of it failing and do other brands use the same technology?
  10. Welcome to WIM. The PCD, offset and centre bore is the same across the MK3 and MK4 Mondeo so that shouldn't be an issue. Unless like Viking says they're not genuine. What numbers are stamped on the rear of the wheels? Have you definitely seated the nuts correctly in the holes? You've probably done it like this but put them all on loose first before tightening them up.
  11. It's Boston Dynamics, same as the other videos you posted before. So yes still CGI. https://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/19054-another-amazing-boston-dynamics-robot/
  12. Go to topic listing will take you to the home page of that section, i.e. the lounge, photography, tyres etc. So might not be what you want. There is also an activity tab at the top that has different other preset search functions for searching posts.
  13. Yes that would just be a room to sleep in, you won't need to cook there on holiday and the Maldives don't need heating! I thought it was actually a purpose built aquarium in a hotel not actually submerged in to the ocean. That's pretty cool
  14. I don't use that activity search but the 12 month content one (same as Geoff) which shows all topics and unread ones are in bold. I've had a look at the unread content activity, which is the link you're referring to and nothing disappeared from the list. Could it be your browser, have you tried another?

  16. Took it easy going home yesterday, mainly 30 limits with a short 60 stretch and used minimal braking. The wheel was cold when I got home and no smell. So hopefully I've caught it early and nothing is badly seized. Just a pain having to do it in this weather!
  17. It's a hoax! https://hoaxeye.com/2018/12/09/a-futuristic-car/
  18. That was the first thing I did although I knew which wheel it would be. I've been smelling a slight heat smell after a spirited drive but it wasn't a binding brake one so assumed it was just working hard. The wheels were never hot to touch. There are a couple of flooded areas on the way to work, plus the usual spray and with the rear being quite exposed the brakes get hammered. TBH I was surprised they lasted 5 years without me needing to clean them up again. Hopefully it's just the slider pins and general crap. I just need to try and drive the car home now but it's only 5 miles so should make it!
  19. So I got to work earlier and as I got out of the car I was met by that familiar smell of binding brakes! It's been 5 years since I replaced the rear calipers and hoses so I'm hoping they just need a clean up and it's not the piston! My low mileage is definitely not helping! It's a good job I'm off work for 2 weeks after today.
