It could just be the oil is still very thick when it's cold, and that is causing the delay?

I run mine until it is dry - turn on for 3 seconds, turn off for a few until water stops running out, run again for 2 or 3, and off again and that should be the majority of it out. Your loft may get cold, but it'll still (hopefully!!) be warmer than the shed. Mine has survived a few years of this and then being put in the shed for the winter.

Its about right IMHO. The barrier comes down, you should be stopped before hitting it. Why would you give people a larger window to drive around the barriers?

Is there a slot for you to step in/out of, or do you have to have someone help you in and out, or clipping it on? How would you intereact with anything/anyone? Can't pick anything up, probably be difficult opening doors, and when you do get inside, its huge still, even collapsed. Gonna be water everywhere!

Usually done by very talented people, using something like Photoshop. All you really have to do is "guess" what the colours would have been - which is reasonably easy from descriptions of things from the time, and bob's your uncle. Wonder how many roofs of cars have touched that ceiling. Certainly wouldn't be able to get many cars high enough to stand under them on that lift!

Imagine going to Dr with a large blister and being told that you could either have it drained, but that it might come back, or they could put you to sleep because it might come back. If she is in no obvious pain, and its not majorly affecting her quality of life, I'd get it drained. Take her to a "specialist" vet - a dedicated veterinary surgery. I'm not sure how that could be "repaired" - there's going to be so much damage to the chassis (its one of those all in one carbon fibre ones, right?) thats its pretty much going to have to be rebuilt ... it'll be like Triggers Broom!

Morning all. Had my Geo done the other month at WIM but I've noticed I've got a lot of wear on the shoulders of my front tyres. I'm just about to rotate them F/R, but its worrying comparing the F and R shoulders how differently they have worn. Tyres are the same F/R, same mileage on them, and I don't exactly drive it "hard" through corners. (It is a Volvo after all!) Pressures are fine, and Geo was only done 2/3 months ago. Any thoughts on what it might be? James Edit - not "excessive" - more "uneven"

Yup, that's it - there is no "major" damage, so its mostly prep and paint. They'll blend it in to the repair they did last time, so its pretty much the entire rear and top of the bumper that they'll be doing, not extending round the corners. He remembered the car from the last time too, which was good! They seem to do some pretty major work too, not just the small bits, there was a Porsche in there that had clearly just been prepped for paint - the whole front end was down to metal and filler on the flat panels and wings with the rest of the car plastic wrapped.

Todays quote was £100, I think it was £170 last time. They are .. uh ... as you drive down the estate, past the sign for the cafe on the left, and then its through the gates on the left - in with the food wholesaler (?).

They're really good Rich, friendly staff, really quick turn around (I had a few bits done before my best friends wedding where I was driving him to the church .. Front bumper corners, one rear bumper corner, and a small dent and scrape removal from the rear wheel arch ...) they had the car for less than 48 hours and gave me a ring when it was ready to collect. They even touched in a few extra little bits with a small amount of paint they had left. You can't even see where the repairs are! Perfect match on the rear wing too, no color gradient, no change in flake ... Pop in if you pass them daily!

Aye, I think I heard of them the last time I needed paint done - and read reviews that were very mixed, so stayed well clear. Gonna head to PaintworX at lunch, and LeMass this evening on my way home - I know Lemass is going to be more, but I'm interested in just how much more. I'm gonna bundle in some extra work too - not on the quote I give to the scooter driver of course, for some extra work on bits that annoy me - bump strips along the doors etc. While they are making paint up, may as well get those bits done!
