  1. Thanks Tony. no plans to lower it but definitely needs checking out.
  2. Hi all, been away from the forum for awhile since we donated the PlanetMotorsport MX5 to Tony! I sold my supercharged Arizona in 2020 and now bombing around in a 595. great fun but it can feel unsettled and squirmy. So thinking some Geo is in order. Question is, is it full 4 wheel geo like an MX5 or just the front and the rear are fixed? thanks!
  3. Sorry to hear that Tony. I need to do some calibration on the lens as it isnt as sharp as it could be, but It is a great bit of kit. I think its just the angle that make the wings look small. He/she is a very lively little bird and whizzes around the garden at a fair old pace!
  4. Yeah Tony, and Cat s**t. Been wondering where the cats have been depositing since moved into the new house in Nov. Found it on Sat when cut down a bush to put a new shed up. Mini Mount Everest!!
  5. Spent the weekend in the garden digging up some overgrown shrubs and dead plants and had a little helper clearing the worms! Didn't seem at all bothered with me being there and came up close a few times, sing little heart out!
  6. Lovely photo! Shame they didnt have the decency to let you know they had used your pic. After all it would have guaranteed another book sale!
  7. A guy I used to work with commented on Facebook that whilst he was driving his wife's car, the rear right run flat tyre felt funny, so he stopped at local petrol station to put some air in it.
  8. shame she didn't cut her feet to ribbons on all the broken glass.
  9. Wondering if he had one attached to his nuts as his voice was really annoying and high!
  10. My next door neighbour used to race the IOM Manx. In 2004 he was flat out through one of the town sections and someone lent out and fired a camera flash at him on a corner. Loss of concentration for a split second and he dropped the bike at 106mph and it hit a telegraph pole and bounced back at him. Ended up with a fractured spine and in hospital on the island for several months, then airlifted back to east surrey hospital round the corner from me. Was told unlikely he will ever walk again due to damage done. The following year he ran the london marathon, raising thousands for the air ambulance on the Island. Went back the following year, (not to race) and was treated like royalty!
  11. Yep, they are really hard to pan. With Motorsport you can see the defined line they are going to take being the track. With these they are coming through so fast and going higher or lower through the mountain pass. Motordrive comes into its own and you have more throwaways than keepers!
  12. I put a 1.4 x tele convertor on today to take my 300mm f2.8 lens up to 420mm in the hope of getting some cockpit crop shots. I think it worked! Tucano Tornado Tucano Tucano (solo) Hawk
  13. Thanks Rich for the edit. I realised I had linked the thumbs and was trying to change them but it said I wasn't authorised? In answer to the questions, yep the above photos were with the new 300mm f2.8 IS (mk1) lens. First time I have used it properly, so very happy with the results. The Hawks come through between 400 & 600mph so use a shutter speed of 1/1000. The Tucanos & Hercules are slower, but you have to drop the shutter speed to 1/250 or lower to get prop circles so it is quite hard to get sharp shots. The Typhoons & Tornados aren't 'allowed' to use after burners in the loop but they are still doing 600mph! A really good site for finding details on the Mach Loop is http://www.aircanon.co.uk/themachloop If you look for Cadair Idris on google maps you will see Cad West and Cad East. There is a large (25 cars) lay-by on the main road through.
  14. Fortunately they didn't show Daisy now. She hasn't aged well
  15. Hmm. something went wrong there and it won't allow me to edit the post any more. Here is a link to the flickr page for now https://www.flickr.com/photos/106822845@N04/
