Mazda 6

 

I think the main horror here is ignorance. The car in for front brake pads, while positioning the car on the two poster it was noticed one corner was lower than the rest? On inspection we found it had broken a helix off the spring not one but two helix one top and one bottom.

I've seen many broken coils in my days but never one that's broke two helix...And never a broken coil the owner wasn't aware of!

Since both helix were loose they would at least rattle.

I had a broken front spring on my old E Class , didnt notice a thing , no rattles and a slight difference in ride height was easily missed
