Invisible Touch Detailing
Hi, This Toyota Supra was brought to me by a member from the MK4 Supra forum. Having owned 2 of these its always a pleasure working with the guys from this fantastic club, this car however, was something a little different! This Supra currently holds the title of 'Europes Fastest 1 Mile Supra' This record was earned at the 2010 Texas Mile and that time the car was producing 1299 horsepower, at the rear wheels! It reached a top speed from a standing mile of 223.2 mph! It now runs a smaller turbo for road use, putting out 946 horsepower on V Power and 1167 horsepower on race fuel. These figures were measured at the hubs. So, bit of a monster then! The car came to me for a stage 1 paint enhancement and engine bay treatment. Lets have a walk around the car... Invisible Touch Detailing
All graphics were removed from the previous event. Then proceeding into the engine bay, everything was lightly cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner and a selection of brushes The wheels were then cleaned using Bilberry and tyres with APC. Invisible Touch Detailing
All door/boot shuts and fuel cap were cleaned with APC and brushes. After being snowfoamed, the car was washed using Shampoo Plus and the 2 bucket method. It was then clayed to remove contamination and washed again in the same process. Once returned to the garage the car was then inspected. The front air ducts had been previously smoothed over to assist with the top speed runs. These had however cracked from flexing. The rear spoiler also had paint missing along its leading edge. These were removed and taken to the bodyshop to be repaired. The front bumper required extensive work to strengthen the ducts from the inside.
Invisible Touch Detailing
Paint readings were then taken The paint was then inspected under halogen and led lighting. The car had been repainted not so long ago in Audi Ibis white.
Invisible Touch Detailing
I then proceeded to machine polish the car using the makita rotary, 3M backing plate, 3M polishing pad and Meguiars #80 You will notice a rather tasty set of rear wheels now appeared, as the originals were sold within the club. Invisible Touch Detailing
The front wheels were also polished and sealed, and.. Changed to match the rears These spacesavers really werent going to be much use at future events So along came these tasty items, made by Weld. These were all polished, ipa'd, sealed and fitted. Invisible Touch Detailing
The interior was hoovered and dusted down, all plastics including the roof cleaned with APC. Poorboys Natural Look was then used to dress everything. The boot was all degreased, battery tray polished and roll cage cleaned. The glass was polished inside and out. The exhaust was also polished. I then applied Swissvax Cleaner Fluid to the paintwork Which was followed up with 2 applications of Swissvax Best of Show wax Tyre pressures were checked and adjusted accordingly, after all, it was unlikely the car was going to receive a gentle journey home The customer's service book was completed for his records These were the final pictures, some different effects applied by the camera on some shots. Invisible Touch Detailing
And final shots as the customer left, everyone at the yard left standing with smiles as this extremely pretty yet purposeful monster approached the gate, leaving what can only be described as a ridiculous sound going off into the distance. Slowly, the peace and quiet, returned to the country side of West Sussex A thoroughly enjoyable car to work on, and as always, an owners reaction that gives fantastic job satisfaction. Hope you enjoyed, Also a video of the car Please wait a few moments for Video to Load! Christian

Rich
That's awesome work When I read the title I thought it was gonna be Jamie's car. I can't believe you can get that much power out of a car that's not far off 20 years old.
