minkymulbs
Soon Im planning to change my shocks and wanted to fit some coilovers. However all the normal companies tein ect.... dont list coilovers for my estate as its different to the saloon as it has a seperate shock and spring set up. So was wondering if someone like Gaz would make some up for the rears and how one would go about investingating costs.

CIH
They do but usually people attempt to use the dampner mountings which aren't necessarily strong enough to taker the loads associated with the spring. Another option is either lowering springs or an adjustable spring platform, like this;
minkymulbs
Thanks for that, so your saying that where the damper bolts to the chassis may not be strong enough to be able to fit a coilover at that location. Wonder how I would be able to check that such a location would be suitable.
CIH
It almost certainly isn't TBH. You may get away with it but I wouldn't recommend it.

Tony
Oh that puts pay to that I guess GAZ can build anything at a price.... Currently there's nothing listed for the Estate but if they intend to make coilovers for the Estate your car could be used for in field developments, in this event the cost would be minimal.... Pm me your cars details and i'll contact GAZ and find out their intentions on developments.
