  1. Please tell me that not a genuine 6R4 in flames
  2. Brett for towing on the 8th Gen Accord I would stick with genuine Honda kit rather than aftermarket coilovers. Imagine the ride quality towing with collies on.
  3. Good idea Brett it would be a good meet lads at WIM will treat our members well Im sure.
  4. Thanks mate now Im closer to home I can afford the bashing on fuel and have a bit of fun. Thanks mate, I will look into what after market adjustment I can pick up. Still debating lowering it or not at this stage.
  5. Tony I have just picked up a second hand Mazda 3 MPS and wondered if you have any experience of these geometry wise. What sort of adjustment do they have as std?
  6. Yes mate I gave them your specs they set it to that but with the thrust angle greyed Im wondering if it was all pointless now. I wish I had the time to come down but Im studying for a degree at the moment.
  7. I had a adjustment done locally to me and the car doesnt feel right at all, I noticed on the print out the thrust angle bit is grey not green. I remember if its grey it means something but cant remember what and what impact it has. Advice please
  8. Try Holdcroft Honda in stoke on trent ask for Lee or Martin they are very helpful and will normally post FOC as well.
  9. Just to make clear that link is to Lings which are a dealer and renound for very high prices. Nine times out of ten you will be able to get a far better deal from your local dealer IME. Great site for info purposes but wouldnt not recommend buying from lings.
  10. Adam these are an easy job to replace altho the nut often seizes and requires some extra attention. Im pretty sure there is a DIY on TA which your a member on.
  11. he was driving a seat leon though . the force could of atleast got the LCR LCR now we are talking
  12. Scum for sure Didnt think much of the unmarked seats skills or tatics during that clip.
  13. Interesting I always thought it was because people couldnt drive properly, but seeing that clip its eye opening.
  14. Wow they where not cheap either
  15. Thanks guys will do. Are the Michelin PS3 a quick wearing tyre as they have only done 9k?
  16. I fitted two new Michelin PS3's last December and they have now done 9k and the left tyre is down to 3.5mm. The right tyre is about 4.5mm and both are more worn in the centre of the tyre. Ive always thought that meant over inflation but Ive been running 36psi on 225/40/18 tyres which I didnt think was much. So im wondering why the left tyre wearing quicker than the right? Is the central wear due to the 36psi or could shock absorbers be to blame. The shocks have done 62k and are on eibachs springs so the movement is shorter than stock. WIM sorted my geo out in December and I was expecting some inner tyre wear but thats been good as gold
  17. Finally got a resolution with regards the tyres, conclusion was that one tyre had suffered some sidewall trauma. The other tyre failed due to manufacturing defect and I got a voucher back. So all in all happy with Falken and the result, will try them again for sure.
  18. Thanks for that, so your saying that where the damper bolts to the chassis may not be strong enough to be able to fit a coilover at that location. Wonder how I would be able to check that such a location would be suitable.
  19. Soon Im planning to change my shocks and wanted to fit some coilovers. However all the normal companies tein ect.... dont list coilovers for my estate as its different to the saloon as it has a seperate shock and spring set up. So was wondering if someone like Gaz would make some up for the rears and how one would go about investingating costs.
  20. Thanks Tony, will see how it performs in the warmer weather when I push it abit.
  21. Tony, I have possibly located some arms to dial out the deep rear camber on the accord. Im not really seeing any major tyre wear on the rear so was wondering if I should just leave alone or will it improve handling?. Since WIM did my geo its been such a different car, like you mentioned I might need to increase the neg camber on the front a little. But also dont want to attract excessive tyre wear, yeah I know I want it all
  22. Guys since my recent flat a friend recommended this http://www.ride-on-uk.com/ a while back and was wondering what people thought. Seems like a fantastic idea and Ive have a similar product in my daughters allterain push chair and bike. However neither would have any balancing issues, they say it aids balancing but Im scepitcal.
  23. Thanks Tony thats just what I needed to hear
  24. Picked up a six inch nail in my OSR tyre (vredestein 225/40/18) and been advised by local fitter that it can not be repaired as its on the edge and nail has rubbed outer wall. He said he would have to check Monday if he can get hold of the sessantas but he wasnt sure. So my question is it okay simply to replace one tyre even if the other side has 5mm of tread? I have always assumed you should replace with the same brand so the patterns match but would the difference in rolling radius due to tread make a difference?
