scorps
I've looked at kits from the good "ole" USA, and i've asked at a local American car meet and some have said i can take a leaf out the springs will have the same effect......now to me this is a no no or am i wrong! and should i consider the full kit? Im in no hurry so im just enquiring at the mo to get as much info as poss.
hms
I would have though that is a no no. The leaves are there as each spring acts progressivley on the spring above. Removing one spring would remove part of the suspension compliance and probably have you bouncing all over the road! h
scorps
Yeah i thought it was a no no too, a bit like chavs cutting springs to lower their corsas/fiestas.

parthiban
Is this for handling or looks? If looks, personally I've never been a fan of lowered trucks, I think they look good riding high as that's what they're all about
Tango
Yeah i thought it was a no no too, a bit like chavs cutting springs to lower their corsas/fiestas. I did the opposite on my MGB roadster by fitting a set of MGB GT springs. They had one more leaf spring and were also slightly stiffer. It was definitely a little higher as my mate used to take the pi$$ asking me when I was going to get the diff casing chrome plated but it handled a lot better with the stiffer set up. Conversely I guess if you remove a leaf it will be slightly lower and softer, so handling will suffer.
