Bazza
anyone know what the MOT says about seatbelts or the lack of them, are harnesses ok ? or are there specific requirements for them ?
scorps
I would of thought the harness wont be a prob as long as its fixed properly.

jon
I'd heard that a harness is fine as long as it's a push release like seatbelt clips but i think MOT'ers use their discretion. My 5 point Schroth harness with a twist release passed today, but it's a serious bit of kit and if he tried to fail it i'd have had a chat! 3" webbing and 5 huge spreader plates, i know which i'd rather crash with! Mark H.
I seem to recall that the seatbelt/harness has to be able to be undone with one hand?
Mat
harness is ok aslong as it is approved, i.e kite mark. or approved sanctioning body i.e FIA i asked this on at my MOT station, actually i asked the regs on race cars, and we went through the list.....harness's being one of them
