findus
the plot thickens! Rav4 RFL's are normal 4x4 tyres with a hardened inner rim so they will run flat with a puncture. Whereas low profile RFL's like with BMW's the tyre wall is harder to support the weight of the car. Its logical if you think about it, the bigger the tyre wall, the more difficult to get them stiffer and without too much weight. Also www.bushtyres.co.uk Sc**thorpe have the equipment to exchange ALL RFL's - Toyota dealer Sc**thorpe takes their's there and there was BMW 7 series in today. On the Rav4 unless it does run flat, its near enough a normal tyre exchange, although was told the low profile RFL's have come down massively in price since they were launched. Tony
The inner shoe in the Rav caused much distress when it came to change the tyres, in fact even the dealer couldn't change the tyres so they gave the owners a complete tyre/wheel replacement. CIH
I didn't know Toyota had jumped on the RFL bandwagon ? Funny, the comments made by that gent with the blue 3-series I met at WIM. How BMW felt "betrayed" by VAG and Mercedes because they hadn't supported RFL like BMW had
