  1. Don't know, they should be 3.10 and 1.20 I read them all wrongly as degrees and minutes I think it just sums the partial toes if that makes sense.
  2. OK, so I have had thetyes fitted and now the "T" done with a "Trackmaster" ? machine. Settings before / after camber left -0 42' / -0 38' camber right -0 12' / -0 12' partial toe left 3 10' / 0 60' partial toe right 0.00 / 0.60' total toe 3 10' / 1 20' set-back 0 11' / 0 00' Does this look right, or have I still got work needs doing?
  3. Not sure, I mentioned it tonight and she said she knows about it I think the nearest bit of the motorway to her is where the road is cut below the normal ground level on her side. Are they widening it both sides or just take the extra space from one side?
  4. Yes, she is pretty close to the junction / motorway. I'd guess maximum of 300 metres
  5. My elderly mum lives close to J18 at Chorleywood, I don't think she knows
  6. That's unbelievable, untouched by human hand
  7. Ah OK, I'll get them to check the "T" then. See how it goes and may need a trip down your way for the "G".
  8. Thanks Tony, that's the answer I was looking for. What about any thoughts?
  9. Tango I've just checked the Toyo site and they don't do the standard sizes for the 17 wheels either ( fronts but not backs ).
  10. As above, I need two new fronts on my Lexus IS250 and backs will need doing in a few thousand miles so I'm thinking of jumping from Toyo Proxes R32 to the T1-R. Are there any comments on ride, grip and wear? Also looks like tracking needs doing as there is extra wear on the insides and more on one side than the other. Does that sound like tracking? ( Posted on LOC as well )
  11. Probably best to get him to sign something absolving you of responsibility by driving it away and stating the exact condition /fault.
  12. I used to live down that way, and was down there yesterday visiting my mum Did you get it sorted? It was the tyre place I meant.
  13. There is the place at the bottom of Field Way ( used to be Tornado Cars ), maybe worth a try before 6 pm tonight to see if they are open tomorrow.
  14. When I picked up my curremt Lexus I noticed it moving around on the motorway a lot. I got it home ( about 75 miles ) and all pressures were within half a pound of 45psi. Unforgiveable of the dealership.
  15. No it was just bad wear caused IIRC by needing to stop a very fast car
  16. One of my cars was a Fiesta Turbo, I was driving it one day and braking at a roundabout and it made a horrible noise ( grinding ) and bad vibrations. I was literally 200 metres from a Ford dealer. Called in and asked them to look at the brakes. One look though the heels andhe said you need new discs and pads on the front. There had been no previous problems and the warning light had not come on. Less than 2 years old and less than 18k miles. Well the mechanic hit the one disc to remove it and it shattered ..... it was that thin. I guess I should have maybe kept them checked myself but this was totally without warning and had been serviced. I do check discs regularly now though myself ..........
  17. He really ought to go to Trading Standards with this, they deserve ( at least ) a wacking big fine.
  18. Not sure of vlaue but looking at the state of the tyres and some of the chrome the owner isn't going to retire early. My secong car was a 1959 Jaguar Mk1 3.4 auto, and it had some very similar looks to it obviously not the size and side windows. But lights, chromework and general frontal shape. Mine was first owner a very well known newspaper owner of the time. It had a radio, record player ( 45 rpm juke box centres ), red leather / bench seat. Auto box, vacuum windscreen washers, spats over the rear wheels. And gleaming black coachwork. Oh, if I could own it today
  19. I'd say it's a 1958 S1, looking at the characteristics on show.
  20. Is it for snow foam? If so I've got a Karcher one, depends a lot on what you put in it to how good it is.
  21. Yes, I'm getting 2 screens wide as well. Unuseable really
  22. Lovely colour, I like Yellow. I've had 3 Daytona Yellow Fords and a Hello Yellow Smart
  23. Could you isolate the problem on a rolling road / MOT tester? Might be wirth a try to identify whether it's front, back or in the middle
