  1. They have the NPR cameras and pulling crew round here, but if you have got tax, MOT, driving license and insurance you don't get stopped if the computer can read your number plate.
  2. Appalling, how many miles had he done in 6 months to wear them that much?
  3. Useful stuff, well it would be if they told you where to put it
  4. I thought I had lots, but can't compete with that lot. I have probably got more cloths / rags / terry nappies / microfibres than you though and have real wheel brushes ( not toilet ones ). Plus I have some stuff still for classic cars. Completely Off Topic -roof bars for a Mondeo do they screw under the dorr rubbers? As I have some either from Sierra or Mondeo ( I think ) and want to advertise them for the right car. They are for a Ford I'm pretty sure and as I have bike racks with them I reckon that's the time period of m many Fords I have owned.
  5. Maybe he didn't have a mirror, or if he did didn't use it :tongue2:
  6. Maybe leave the "tank" up your road with a big sign that says so
  7. Our road ( hill ) was like that when I upended myself spreading the grit this morning. Bu I have a grit pin opposite. If I was you Tony I would send those pictures to the council and ask for a grit bin to be sited there to avid accidents and injury. And / or put a report here: http://www.fixmystreet.com/reports
  8. No paper is still valid for those that have them .... I hope !!
  9. Think my paper one lasts until I'm 70 Glad I have kept it in one piece
  10. A take off ramp at the side of the track - what a good idea
  11. It said on one of the follow up BBC Watchdog programs that they were not using 19 inch wheels.
  12. What Quackfit don't say though is they cause them ( allegedly )
  13. Not sure how that will work or be managed. So the 101 centres will not have the same equipment as you Tony?
  14. I'll definitely come to either the January / February one. See what the weather is like. I only own a daily ride now but used to have some classics, the most recent being a 1971 Ford Mustang 5.7 litre convertible but unfortunately had to sell that a few years back. I just love cars
  15. Wow some fantastic machinery there, it might be worth posting up when the next one is so people could come and see for themselves. I'm not far away and would enjoy a 45 minute drive out.
  16. Look here sone useful ideas: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=28095
  17. With other vehicles on the road, yes mad No speedo shot though
  18. You can use snow socks where there is no snow but not snow chains. I believe this is correct. Just been looking at the skid pan gift certificates, was thinking of getting my son one of them, but already got him a few things and the skid is £100 ish. He'll need it though as he is probably moving to Helsinki in April and it's -22 over there at the moment
  19. read a review last year and it reckoned they were pretty good. I think easy to fix and you can drive with them on roads where the snow has cleared ( low speeds still ). We still have had no snow up here, but -6 last night and the corner I live on is an incline both ways and is hazardous. Went to the bit grin last night to prepare it and it was empty - so result is many stuck / slipping cars this morning. As it's a T Junction cars are meant to stop as they come up the hill and then they spin the wheels as they try and pull away. Some idiots today My son has just gone out for his first drive on ice, they don't teach that on the test ........
  20. You can get stockings os it socks now for the tyres in the snow: Found them: http://www.autosock.co.uk/
  21. Looks good, we just need the falling snow now .........................
