  1. W reg Rich. When she first got it she used to just drive a mile each way to work. Then we used to commute together. Then she had a few years off work when she had the boy and now again she only commutes a mile each way to the station. To be honest we don't need both cars, but she is a really nervous/crap driver and will not drive too far or drive my car. Additionally the Fiesta is too small to be our main car. It is cheap to run tho. £215 a year to insure us both on it, £145 tax, £40 mot and servicing is next to nothing. A tank of fuel lasts months! So we keep it
  2. This little car continues to impress me. Just passed its MOT and as usual passed first time with no advisories! She has had it from new and does very little mileage. It ticked over 12k this morning and it still feels great to drive, nice and tight. It's needed the usuals over the years (battery, exhaust and tyres) but these only needed to be replaced because to the lack of use it gets. As of a few years ago, due to how little it's now worth it only gets serviced every 2 years (1800 miles) and when it gets warmer I will do the next one myself. Obviously if the mileage was higher it may be a different story but over all it is great little car
  3. Couldn't you say the wall accidentally got knocked down when parking? 😉😉😉😉
  4. Unless they have changed their policy since, but that's what they told me on the phone a few years back
  5. They do insure unmodified, but they need to be performance versions. Ie they would not insure a normal Mondeo but they will the ST version
  6. Greenlight have been the cheapest by for me for the past few years. The service is always great and they are very friendly and like a chat. That's why I recommend them 😉
  7. Nice cars those. I've driven a few. I'm currently eyeing up one of those with the exact same spec as a replacement for the Mondeo ST. Unfortunately I can't afford new so it will be the mk2 around 2011/12
  8. Check out the thickness of the doors on Barack Obama's limo. That's some armor plating in there
  9. Agreed, LOC was great back in the day. Some great meets and shows. Went on three Nurburgring trips as well as the Toyota F1 tour 😃 Met some great people, shame it all went down hill. But everything comes to an end I suppose. (Sorry to take your thread even further off topic Woz)
  10. Yes, I'm impressed with that. Actually what sort of speeds are the run flats designed to preform to when punctured?
  11. As above, seem to be an increasing amount of DIY related threads recently. Maybe it would be better if they were all in a sub forum in the forum specific section?
  12. I love the OEM look, well done fella
  13. So this applies to tourists in their own cars too then?
