  1. Yep Thought I recognised the shape :worried: They're terrible for separating/splitting and mine were bad when I first bought the car but no where near as that! Car must've been wandering all over the road :confused02: I'm assuming you fitted a new one, was it the side under the gearbox with the bolt you love to hate?
  2. Damn that's frightening to think they felt no change in the handling! Not a mondeo was it?
  3. Hi mate, welcome to WIM The pull when you move off could be the rear/front torque restrictor, if the rubber has perished like most do over time there will be more movement from the engine, hence the pull when you boot it as the engine will move quicker.
  4. Ford Racing...got a link? Welcome to WIM as well
  5. Nice one Ryan I knew you wouldn't be disappointed Don't forget to spread the word about WIM
  6. When I had an annoying squeak Tony tracked it down to the ball joint on the lower arm
  7. I thought it was, you should've PT'd me on MEG I would've sorted it for you I remember now, you went from 16's to 18's and had nothing but grief with the handling! If you run 36psi won't you run the risk of overinflating the tyre and wearing the middle part quicker? Will have to see how my trammlining alters next week when I get the geo done and new boots on.
  8. Gary, may be wrong but are you also registered on here as little brown bike? You had problems with tyre wear on your TDCi after you fitted the 18's? When you have the tyres at 34psi does tramlining get worse or does the steering feel lighter? If I go over 32psi on my 17's the car handles terribly!
  9. Go get your coat mate!! lol Which pic of you, the giraffe? Suppose there is a slight resemblance!!
  10. Considering it was forecast as rain all weekend the weather was very good
  11. This will be a good project, you changing the engine then?
  12. Although it's unlikely to happen with lowering springs, what would happen if that snapped would the whole spring fall out?
  13. Oooh bitchy!! lol Last time I went was nearly 20 years ago and it's changed quite abit from what I remember
  14. Had an early start, up at 7.30am, got to Baker Street for 9.15am and had a nice slow walk through Regents Park up to the zoo. I had never seen so many joggers in one place though, saw easily over 100, plus I found all the 'real' coppers, they've been hiding in the park!! At the zoo for a good 5 hours then walked back to the station (half hour) and got the train home. I can honestly say I have never been so knackered and my feet have a couple of blisters! The little one enjoyed himself as well, although he was very tired and fell asleep while eating dinner when we got home! All photos can be found here and have added a few to the thread Don't ask me what the Gorilla was eating but it looked like something that came out of the backend!
  15. Avatar info says - Ford Mondeo 1.8 LX 02 - so I'd say it's a MK3. I didn't think the MK2 shocks had holes in the bottom like in the photo, mine don't anyway!
  16. You can post as many photos as you like mate, have added the image tags so they show in the thread I'm wondering if the shock/piston is bent for the spring to be like that
  17. What a beast, I bet that don't hang about!
  18. Ryan just send Tony a PM or phone him Tony will probably just measure the car first and then decide if you need a kit or not
  19. Is that for real or they just playing?
  20. That just proves how little garages know about geometry then. Shame you're so far from WIM as well. Welcome to the forum though, I'm assuming you've come from MEG?
  21. So thats what you do in your spare time Tony..!!! PMSL Tony don't forget we have a multimedia forum now for photos
