  1. I tried out Perfectly Clear and didn't really get on with it - sometimes it works well (particularly what it does to faces) but the rest of the time it was a bit too hit and miss. I've been using DxO Optics more and more and I'm really starting to like it - so much so that I've now bought it! The more I've got used to it and set things up properly it now delivers almost exactly what I want automatically most of the time, and it's very easy to add little tweaks where required. I've never found batch adjustments to really work as my photos always seem too varied even in a single day (perhaps that says something about my photography skills!) I'm now spending a fraction of the time editing and loving it
  2. My experience with customs has always been a bit hit and miss, sometimes I've been charged and sometimes not so I think it's a bit of the luck of the draw
  3. Wow, the Prius really does look massive next to the Z!
  4. They do an NX backpack as well but the price seems to be a lot higher now - don't remember it being a special offer or anything but I just wandered into Jessops so it may have been. I much prefer slings as you can take the camera out without taking the bag off. That lowepro looks a good bag for what you need - the ebay one might be a copy but as long as it does the job does it really matter?
  5. Yep Ferraris have smooth lines, I was wondering where the smooth lines were on the Aventador
  6. A year with this and you may not want to upgrade!
  7. Smooth lines? Yes the Huracan is disappointing to look at but the Aventador is insane and the SV is just wow! It's definitely a Lambo!
  8. Fair enough, plus this will be a nice stepping stone power-wise up to the GT-R
  9. Wow that should be awesome!! Aren't you getting a GT-R though?
  10. I don't love the wheels but I love the rest of that, it looks crazy like a Lambo should. Personally I'd have an F12tdf but wouldn't be disappointed with either of these cars!
  11. Even if it is true there's no way they could revive the old Capri given that they just brought us a RHD Mustang. I suppose they could have rebodied the Mustang and given us a new Capri but I much prefer the Mustang
  12. I got a Manfrotto NX Sling before I went to Thailand as a cheap and cheerful bag that I could carry other stuff in as well as my camera. It's really just a backpack with a separate small camera holder but it worked really well (and was only £30).
  13. At first I thought it would be a weird decision when we are finally getting the Mustang - and then realised this was Focus based which means it'll be FWD and small. Seems a shame to revive the Capri name with something that'll probably be a bit of a disappointment.
  14. That's a nasty cut - and looks like such a clean split. Is that caused by something cutting it or a tyre failure?
  15. You're right to a certain extent but the low light performance of the new stuff blows the old stuff away. And as a more amateur user the mirrorless stuff (once it moves on a bit) is far more practical so think that might make a better upgrade than a new DSLR.
  16. Lowepro has a few smaller backpacks like the one below, I don't think you'll find one a lot smaller than your sling but something similar sized. https://www.lowepro.co.uk/brands/lowepro/photo-traveler/photo-traveler-150/pd240/
  17. Can't really help on the straps but what kind of backpack are you looking for? I think most of the backpacks are generally larger bags, which slingshot do you have as mine only really takes the camera and one lens so it's quite a compact one.
  18. I haven't done anything yet - mostly confused by a trip to Jessops where I found out the full frame D610 is the same size and weight as my D90. There is also the argument though that it's better because it's newer rather than full frame, and the current top APS-C model would also provide far better results too. I probably will just stick for now, particularly because the mirrorless cameras are getting more and more interesting - in a few years it might be possible to get a full frame one with 4K video for reasonable money and that might make a better upgrade.
  19. In terms of post processing, DxO ProOptics is amazing - you should definitely download the trial and give it a go. The noise removal and clearview functions are really impressive and the lens specific corrections cannot be found elsewhere I think. http://www.dxo.com/us/photography/photo-software/dxo-opticspro For me the issue is time - as an example I've come back from Thailand with 550 photos on my camera and while I'd love to I don't have the hours it will take to work through them all. Something like Perfectly Clear looks as though it could enhance all my photos with one click making all my photos better without needing to take up a lot of my time. I'll report back once I've used the trial on this too http://www.athentech.com/
  20. Looking for a tool to make photo correction really quick and easy - I often don't have time to sort them out so end up with thousands of photos sitting around uncorrected. Been trying out DxO OpticsPro 10 recently which is a fantastic tool, the results you can get out of it are amazing. However it's closer to the photoshop end of editing which still makes it a bit time consuming (although less than previously). Going to give Athentech Perfectly Clear a go as well as that seems on the other end of things, perhaps not quite as good ultimate results but a decent result that is completely automated which means a pretty much one click affair and a massive time saver. Has anyone used anything they would recommend?
  21. Seems like my solar charger has stopped working as tried to use the Lexus over the weekend (admittedly after not using the car for over 2 months) and battery is flat. Time to get in touch with Amazon
