Tony
This came from a high end super car with a knocking from the front. Several company's had inspected the car and found nothing wrong. After 10min work i found this..... To be fair the knuckle joint is hidden by a rubber boot...... But the play in the knuckle wasn't
adam_r
thats worrying. looks like the body (socket) has deformed!. can we know what super car this came from?
Tony
It came from a "race day experience" hire car. The deformity was due to the stresses on the fully loaded joint while on full lock. This pick up point ( link ) displays how much energy the track rod end has to resist during inertia moments and yaw.

voicey
What car is it off? Here's a picture of the 360 joints - they have a mount top and bottom. Does this make them stronger?
Tony
It was off a Lambo... And yes i think that would make them stronger since they are used in motorsport.
