Tony
Poor images, sorry for that but get over it...... This is the front of a VW polo on coilovers, how stiff do you think the suspension must be so the wheels don't hit the arch on bump/ or lock? parthiban
Lol, assuming it's VERY stiff, I see cars like that occasionally and they look like such a joke bouncing down the road, you'd think the owners would realise they look a bit silly? hms
It looks as though they wouldn't be able to turn! Stretched a well! Form over function! h
Bazza
i know stiff even on very stiff its surprising how much movement you get so i say it would need to be solid mounted
adam_r
that polo has had ALOT of arch work done... crazy look and to be honest a little silly... some cars in the dub scene look amazing, but most just look stupid
Tony
You lot are so well clued up i don't know why i bother to post nowadays Your all correct, this Polo's owner has modified the top mounts, removed the helper coil and screwed to coil platform to the ground, in addition the arches are rolled and flared and the tyres stretched, it sits lower than grandma's nipples and drives like an over ripened turd stuck in a U bend. Point is it's a show car not a drive car and apart from the stretch tyres i like the look but hit a grain of sand this car would be a right off. adam_r
I was going to do that sort of arch work on my old mk3 seat ibiza. so we lowered her to the wanted height, drove the car around the block to settle things in..... then compleatly failed to see how we could lift the car back up to change the suspension.. the car was too low to get any jack underneath it! As a show car it looks good, but really, you know he will drive it and will spend the next week getting his back straightened again
